Set in the idyllic Roman Spa town of Buxton and the surrounding Peak District. An ideal hotel to stay at to go walking in the countryside, visit the opera (2 minutes walk) or discover Buxton. The Portland Hotel is situated on the A53 from Leek and Macclesfield, near to the Town Centre of Buxton, 100 yards from Buxton's famous Opera House, overlooking the picturesque Pavillion Gardens. A two minute walk from the famous crescent and shops, restaurants, park and gardens. Please note, the hotel is currently undergoing minor refurbishment work on some of the guest rooms.

The restaurant opens at 19:00 and last orders are 21:00. We can open earlier by arrangement to accommodate guests wishing to visit the theatre.
