For the more active, there is the Grand Leisure Suite with its 15 metre swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and sunbed as well as a multi-gym. A bakery and restaurant are both on site. As of 01 June 2007, all rooms will be non-smoking.

The Hotel has undergone a substantial transformation over the past few months and has a complete new look for 2007. In March 2006 the Carlton Court Hotel was one of the first in Torbay to be given the prestigious silver award under the new harmonised common standard of quality assessment. This hotel has been awarded stars under the heading 'hotel accommodation'. An additional silver award has been given for exceptional standards of quality in all areas of accommodation, hospitality, facilities and service. The standards of the silver award from January 06 have been enhanced and much more difficult to achieve, which is why we are so proud of our award. All beds in the hotel are extra length (6ft 6') and a minimum standard of king-size. Nearby are the Torquay Riviera Conference and Sports Centre, with indoor swimming pools wave machine and water chutes; and Torre Abbey with its beautiful gardens, including pitch and putt, tennis and bowls. The beautiful thatched village of Cockington is only a mile from the hotel, with its attractive lakes and gardens. Torquay has something for everyone: a walk along the promenade, the beach, marina and harbour, theatres, cinemas, quality nightclubs and access to many of the South West's major attractions. Breakfast in the restaurant includes a self-service buffet with fruit juice, fruit, yogurts and cereals, a full traditional breakfast, toast, tea or coffee. The Mount Edgcombe is a 19th century detached Victorian villa, which is conveniently located just a short level walk to the water's edge from where you can wander along the seafront promenade towards the harbour. The train station and English Riviera Centre are just a few minutes walk away ,and a 15-minute walk will bring you to Castle Circus - the heart of Torquay's shopping area. We are a small privately run hotel and we pride ourselves on the service and attention we give our guests. The hotel boasts a fully licensed bar and optional evening meal. Please note we are an entirely non-smoking hotel and do not accept group bookings.

Breakfast is normally served from 08:30 to 09:15, but we are usually happy to provide earlier breakfasts if you need to make an early start. We offer a wide choice on our breakfast menu, so that you can eat as much or as little as you like and as healthily (or not!) as you like. All breakfasts are cooked freshly to order, using good quality, locally sourced produce. Our 4-course evening meals are served at 18:30 and are bookable in advance or on a daily basis. We use an excellent local butcher for our meat, fish from Brixham docks and fresh vegetables are bought daily in order to provide tasty home cooked meals. Vegetarian options are available. Our extremely varied dessert menu includes a wide selection of home baked favourites. We are a strictly non-smoking hotel.

The Yardley Manor has a great location near the Harbour with guaranteed parking, newly refurbished rooms and en suites. For the comfort of all its guests, Yardly Manor is a non-smoking hotel throughout. There are spacious public lounges with TV. The hotel also benefits from its heated outdoor swimming pool and large bar serving draught beers. Although only 5 minutes walk from Torquay Harbour and the city centre, the hotel is situated in a quiet residential position away from all traffic noise and can offer plenty of guaranteed free parking. (Very few hotels in Torquay have enough parking for all guests.) The hotel's sun-trap garden is ideal for spending a day lazing around the pool (open 09 June to 05 September). There is a large bar and restaurant which would make a great venue for a function.(The bar and restaurant are set in the base of the old Torquay Wintergardens).
