Hallingbury is an old converted flour mill on the banks of the River Stort only 16 mins drive from stansted airport. We are a warm friendly country guest house with much to do in an informal environment just 8km from Stansted Airport. There has been a mill at Hallingbury from the 1600s the present building was built in 1874. We serve good fresh food and have an excellent wine cellar there are many event thorough out the year ie River regatta murder mystery weekend and Burns suppers to name but a few. We offer free shuttles to the airport and early starter breakfasts for guests leaving before 7.30 am. Built in the 1930s, Latchmead offers excellent overnight accommodation for guests. We are seven miles from Stansted airport and offer a free shuttle service which operates from 04:15 to 9:00 A.M. in the morning. All rooms are recently refurbished, spacious and welcoming. Tv/dvd, fridge, hairdryers, tea coffee etc all available in the rooms. No smoking allowed in bedrooms.
