| Welcome to The Royal Hotel, the face of Ross-on-Wye and the gateway between Wales and England. The Royal is a majestic, beautiful hotel dating back to 1837. But in no way intimidating, a very friendly and warm welcome awaits you. Refurbishment work completed in December 2006 has given the building a new lease of life. The Royal is a majestic, beautiful hotel dating back to 1837. A very friendly and warm welcome awaits you. Refurbishment work completed in December 2006 has given the building a new lease of life. The hotel is now access-friendly into the restaurant and bar. Being a grade ll listed building has created a few problems extending this to the bedrooms, but the hotel is working on it. The changes are fantastic, though in character. Come and enjoy the new ‘Riverview Bar’, and, as the name suggests, you can enjoy the magnificent views across the Wye Valley and river below. | |

| Perfectly situated in a peaceful riverside setting, yet only half a mile from the bustling market town of Ross-on-Wye. The family-run Bridge House Hotel offers the opportunity for relaxing 'get away from it all' breaks. The accommodation has been recently refurbished to very high standards, with large TVs, modern bathrooms and excellent facilities. The kitchen and restaurant, under the supervision of our Head Chef James Arbourne (two AA rosette holder), offers a wide choice of dishes, cooked and served to the highest levels, only using produce from our river bank gardens and local suppliers. | |
