| The Bell has been a thriving inn since the 15th century, Thetford was once a cathedral town. Religious establishments were numerous and of great importance in the town at the time The Bell began its life as a thriving inn in the 15th century, which makes the hotel's name particularly apt. The sense of history is enhanced at The Bell by the fact that the hotel retains much of its original character. What's so special about us? There are 39 en-suite bedrooms and 7 VIP rooms. Several of the rooms have period features, including a section of the original painted plaster walls. The Bell has a substantial range of meeting and conference rooms. The hotel is situated on the corner of King Street and Bridge Street. The hotel consists of 2 wings, the newer of which was built around the 1960's with 2 accommodation floors. The old wing is over 600 years old with rooms that are full of character and meandering corridors. The hotel is well know locally for its functions and weddings. It is possible that a function may be taking place during your stay, however, if you contact the hotel directly we will endeavour to allocate a room as far away from it, whenever possible. |  |

| The Glebe is an impressive manor house, standing in its own extensive grounds, situated midway between Cambridge and Norwich on the A11 at Elveden, 2 miles from Thetford. All rooms are spacious, comfortable, and decorated to a high standard. The Glebe has easy access and ample parking. Snetterton Race Track is just 14 miles, only 20 minutes by car. Close to Center Parcs, the hotel is the ideal location for guests visiting family or friends holidaying there.
