The Hotel is ideally situated for visiting Bath and is only 10 minutes walk from the Roman baths and city centre. Please notify the hotel if you have any special needs. Watch the chef at mealtimes, as he works the kitchen's Aga to create what you want, whenever you want it. The Residence began life in 1796 as Ormond Lodge, part of a local estate. During its existence, it has reputedly been one of the homes of exiled Emperor Haile Selassie during the 1930s. Begin the day in the kitchen, where you watch the chef prepare your breakfast. Using organic, locally sourced ingredients you are free to bend the advertised times and enjoy it whenever you want to. Snacks can be prepared for you whenever you desire them - Dom Perignon and chips at 03:00 will be no problem at all! Alternatively, The Residence enjoys links with several of the city's top restaurants, who be able to deliver a meal directly to you. Several public rooms await you, including a very traditional library, where deep red walls and dark mahogany furniture complement oak floors. The Dining Room is dominated by a central 12 seat dining table designed by retro-antique-salvage artist Rod Donaldson. Perfect for a business meal, a party or a very big table for two. The Conservatory operates as a bar and occasional brunch room. When the weather is right sun streams into this stunning area, which seats 24 as a bar or 14 as a meeting room.
