The Elizabeth Orwell is a Victorian hotel dating back to 1898. This old fashioned hotel, which had a major refurbishment during the autumn of 2003, is close to the port of Felixstowe for business guests and local attractions for people visiting the area. As from the 1st June 2007, the hotel, restaurants and all rooms including public areas will be all non-smoking. Breakfast is available at an additional cost.

The hotel frontage has been fully refurbished, and most bedrooms have sea and promenade views. There is a gastro-bar with a sea terrace (fully non-smoking) and a newly refurbished seafood/grill restaurant that offers an extensive menu, ideal for intimate dining, family gatherings and business dinners. Food is prepared using the freshest of local produce. Both the bar and restaurant offer superb sea views.

The newly refurbished private function room, with its own bar area, accommodates up to 80 guests. The room is ideal for intimate wedding receptions and parties, while its good light is well suited for business meetings/conferences. Audiovisual can be provided. Menus can be catered to suit all budgets, designed specifically to your requirements by our experienced chefs and kitchen staff. The Deben Room also has its own dance floor.

The Marlborough Hotel is the largest and only sea front hotel in Felixstowe, 250 yards south of the pier complex.
